A Rare Bitossi Masterpiece in Rimini Blue

One of the most striking pieces to come out of the Italian mid-century ceramic movement, this Kwan Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) bust was designed by Aldo Londi and produced by Bitossi in Tuscany during the 1960s. It is a museum-quality example of the celebrated Rimini Blue glaze — a vibrant, deeply saturated blue with lime accents and a golden web pattern that catches the light from every angle.

Kwan Guan Yin is one of the most revered figures in East Asian culture, and Londi’s interpretation — rendered in glazed stoneware with serene, stylised features — bridges Eastern iconography with the bold aesthetic language of Italian modernism.

An exceptional centrepiece for a mantel, shelf, or display cabinet. Highly sought after by Bitossi collectors and mid-century ceramic enthusiasts worldwide.
