The Lento is one of Jo Hammerborg’s most refined table lamp designs, produced by Fog & Mørup in Denmark in 1969. Hammerborg — Fog & Mørup’s chief designer from 1957 to 1977 — was one of the defining voices of Danish lighting design, and the Lento exemplifies his approach: precise geometry, restrained colour, and a form that reads beautifully from every angle.
The lamp features a light grey exterior with a contrasting dark grey inner circle — a subtle but considered detail that gives the shade depth and visual interest when lit. The metal construction is in excellent vintage condition with a natural patina consistent with its age.
