A large and beautifully preserved pendant lamp, model P376, designed by Preben Fabricius & Jørgen Kastholm for Nordisk Solar Kompagni, Denmark, 1963 — a significant piece from one of the most celebrated Danish design partnerships of the 20th century.
Preben Fabricius (1931–1984) and Jørgen Kastholm (1931–2007) formed one of the defining design duos of Danish mid-century modernism. Best known for their furniture for Bo-Ex and Kill International, their lighting work for Nordisk Solar is considerably rarer and highly sought after by collectors. The P376 is a commanding presence — a wide, shallow dome in white lacquered metal with a grey inner rim, designed to cast a broad, even light.
