Danish Brutalism at Its Most Commanding
A monumental wall sculpture by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen, one of Denmark's most celebrated metal artists. Manufactured by Dantoft in Denmark during the 1960s, this cast iron relief is a defining example of the Brutalist aesthetic applied to Scandinavian modernism — raw, textured, and utterly confident.
The deep black iron surface is punctuated by vibrant primary-coloured glass inserts that catch and scatter light, creating a dynamic interplay of shadow and colour across the wall. Originally conceived as an architectural element for mid-century buildings, it now makes an extraordinary statement piece in any interior.
Clearly labelled by the maker. Iron structure strong and stable; all glass elements intact. Perfect original condition.
