A large and beautifully preserved pendant lamp — Model P376 — designed by Preben Fabricius & Jørgen Kastholm for Nordisk Solar Kompagni in 1963. A significant and rare piece from one of the most celebrated partnerships in Danish design history.
Fabricius (1931–1984) and Kastholm (1931–2007) are best known for their furniture for Bo-Ex and Kill International, but their lighting work for Nordisk Solar is considerably scarcer and increasingly sought after by collectors. The P376 is a commanding presence: a wide, shallow dome in white lacquered metal with a grey inner rim, engineered to cast a broad, even pool of light. At 55 cm in diameter it fills a room without overwhelming it.
This example is in exceptional condition for its age — well maintained, with only the lightest patina consistent with over sixty years of careful ownership.
