A rare and collectible Gyro C402 cylinder table lamp, designed by John Petersen for Copenhagen Hi-Lights, Denmark, 1965 — a complex and visually striking piece of Danish mid-century design produced in limited numbers.
The C402 features a double-cylinder construction: an inner white Plexiglas cylinder sits within a transparent outer cylinder, creating a layered light effect. The base rotates between purple and off-white, and the lamp retains its original label inside. The original top-mounted on/off switch has been disconnected; an inline cord switch has been fitted instead. Otherwise the lamp is in its original condition.
