Antique Stained Glass Suncatcher — Hand-Painted Bunting Bird, Green & Purple Lead Glass, Denmark / UK

A charming antique stained glass suncatcher featuring a hand-painted bunting bird in green and purple leaded glass, set within a square lead frame. Likely Danish or British in origin — a companion piece in spirit to the folk-craft suncatcher tradition that flourished across Northern Europe during the mid-20th century.

The bunting is a painterly, naturalistic motif — quietly rendered with real care and attention to the bird's form and plumage. Hung in a window, the green and purple glass catches the light beautifully, giving the colours a warmth and depth that photographs can only hint at. The hanging chain shows rust consistent with age, adding to the honest patina of the piece.
