The condition is good, and it can be used in cooking. The lid has minor chips.
It was made by JAJ in England at The Wear Glassworks, Sunderland, in 1958-1959. In 1958, J.A.J. (James A. Jobling) launched their Gaiety range. The bottom is stamped with PYREX TABLEWARE and the JAJ crown mark. This is the 2162 size. The items may show minor age-related wear and minor flaws consistent with the date of manufacture.
